![]() Dylan's actions have jumped started a wave of change throughout MTMS! Tafrow later that week and was honored at a luncheon with Mrs. Dylan received the "Be the Change" award from Mrs. She realized in that moment, as the video was playing, that she had just taught a lesson more important to her students than the math lesson that was planned for the day. Tafrow played his video to all of her students the following day. In his video, he mentioned how he wanted to "be the change" and he wanted the world to know how to do that. Tafrow had taught him earlier that morning. Dylan went home that afternoon and created a YouTube video that reiterated what Mrs. That goal was accomplished as she discovered the very next day that one of her students, Dylan Henley, heard her message. Her goal was to reach at least one student that day and have him or her take away something from this life lesson. Tafrow encouraged each one of them to "be the change" at MTMS and to not be judgmental of others. She stressed to the students that they are not alone even on some of the worst days of their lives. ![]() ![]() ![]() She shared with her students the value of being kind and respectful to others as well as the importance of compassionate gestures to those around them. Tafrow shared with her students some of the inspiring and emotional lessons that she took away from the December Challenge Day at MTHS. ![]()
